The Need For Financial Support: Originators of the change.org petition have determined an additional need to acquire signatures “on the ground - in person”

- Copying Expenses - To Make Copies of Blank Petitions
- Postage - To mail Copies of Blank Petitions to Individuals Recruiting Signatures
- Transportation – Travel to and from designated areas for obtaining signatures. Gas or Transit passes. Promoting Petition Online – Change.org no longer shows petitions to members.
- There is a cost for promoting or showing petitions to change.org members.
Background Information for Petition Police brutality and murders of unarmed citizens have reached epidemic levels. Basically, every police department across the United States uses tax dollars to cover settlements from lawsuits because of police misconduct. Our petition demands that officers carry professional liability insurance as a condition of employment. Officers of repeat offenses would be unable to obtain coverage and barred from working within departments across the nation. All agencies, jails and prisons receiving federally funded grants, loans or, equipment shall include individual professional liability insurance as a Condition of Employment.
Also, the petition demands limited immunity would ensure that officers who kill and harm or, expose the community to unnecessary risks, are prosecuted.
